National Day to Combat Syphilis and Congenital Syphilis (third Saturday in October). Established by Law 13.430, of March 31st, 2017, sanctioned by the then President Michel Temer. Authored by Congressman Chico D’Angelo, Complementary Law Project 146/2015 originated at the VI Congress of the Brazilian Society of Sexually Transmitted Diseases, in 2006, on a proposal initiated by the doctor and professor at Universidade Federal Fluminense, Mauro Romero Leal Passos.
