Jean Alfred Fournier

Jean Alfred Fournier was born on March 12th, 1832, in Paris. A French dermatologist specialized in the study of venereal diseases. He described the “Fournier’s sign”, thinning of the distal third of the eyebrows, as a typical clinical finding of syphilis in the final part of the recent stage of the disease (secondary syphilis).
