He has often been described as the Father of Modern Medicine and one of the “greatest diagnosticians who ever wielded a stethoscope”. Osler was a person of many interests. In addition to being a doctor\, he was a bibliophile\, historian\, author\, and playful person. One of his accomplishments was the founding of the History of Medicine Society (previous section) of the Royal Society of Medicine\, London.
